The Campsite Space & Beyond

The ranch has been family owned since 1929 and we are so thrilled to be able to share its magic and for you to experience the beauty that surrounds the camp site. Come breathe the fresh air under our starry skies, sit beneath our majestic 700+ year old oak tree, and swim in our freshwater windmill pool. You will have total access to all of the facilities which include a straw bale pavilion, spacious dining barn, 6 vintage Airstreams, fully equipped bathhouse, screened in sleeping porch, outdoor showers, swimming tank, cook tent and camp fire pit.

You’ll have the use of the 1,225 sq. ft dining barn, 2,228 sq. ft pavilion, 6 Airstreams, sleeping porch, bathhouse, fire-pit, outdoor showers, and more..a truly magical place in the Hill Country no matter what time of year it is. Summer nights here are breezy and lovely and still comfortable and colder nights are cozy and warm by the fire and in our facilities. We have AC/heat in the airstreams and Barn and the sleeping porch is equipped with electric blankets during colder months and bed-side fans and hill country breezes in the summer. We can accommodate 25 folks in our single beds and full/queen beds as long as 2 people sleep in each full/queen bed. For groups that only want 1 person per bed regardless of bed size, we can accommodate 15 people with the ability to bring your own tents, cots, or air mattresses if you want. Additionally, we have one RV hook up that rents for $25/night that is only electrical, but is located right by our large bath house that the other airstreams use.

We allow up to 5 well behaved dogs (please send us a request if you think you need to bring more pets than that). Dogs are $50 per dog/day.

THE PAVILION - The 2,328 sq ft straw bale pavilion is situated so that there is always a southern breeze and is the perfect space for outdoor dining, dancing, games, or for yoga and meditation. It has an open kitchen with fridge and dining area and lots of intimate seating around an awesome fireplace. There is also a full bath and two outdoor showers.

THE BARN - our 1,225 sq ft climate-controlled barn has several seating areas, a pool table, large bar area (with small ice machine), TV and updated kitchen which is well equipped with staples, dishes, cookware, commercial stove and two refrigerators. It's the perfect place for families to cook and gather around the long dining table for memorable meals. There is also a full bath with a claw foot tub. It has central heat and AC if needed. The large doors open up to a central covered area where everyone can gather outside under the awning.

THE AIRSTREAMS - The vintage Airstreams are situated near the bathhouse and offer comfortable beds and privacy with each one having a personality of its own. They all have a mini fridge, heat and AC but there is no running water or septic hook-ups. Each one is just steps away from the dining barn bathroom or our new bathhouse that has two private toilets and showers with two covered outdoor sinks. Please see "bedrooms" for a breakdown of how many each one sleeps and pictures.

THE SLEEPING PORCH - our screened in sleeping porch is the most popular place for experiencing a memorable night of sleep on the queen sized swinging beds. You can see the moon and stars from your pillow and wake up to a gorgeous sunrise and chirping birds. There are clear roll down shades in case of cold weather or rain so you are protected from the elements. We provide electric blankets when it's cold and fans when it's warm. Even in the summer, nights are cool enough to sleep on the porch.

THE BATH HOUSE- Our newly added bath-house has two private showers, two toilets and two open air sinks and is just steps away from the sleeping porch and Airstreams. We provide bath towels and bed linens as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

THE COVERED COOK TENT - a popular hangout for grilling on the gas grill or a large three part open pit grill. You will need to bring charcoal and lighter fluid if you plan on grilling on the large pit.

THE CAMPFIRE SITES - Our large Fire-Pit is the perfect place to reunite for hours of star gazing, cooking s'mores and watching the deer and other wildlife. There’s also a large fireplace in the Pavillion so even if it’s raining, you can sit by the fire on our large couches.

GUEST ACCESS TO THE 540 ACRES

Besides the Airstream camp area, pavilion, and dining barn, guests are welcome to walk to Eleven Oaks, which is a glorious group of ancient live oaks estimated to be over 700 years old. It is a perfect place to curl up in a hammock to read or to wander around enjoying Mother Nature.

THE WINDMILL POOL - our spring fed swim tank is a short mile away via car or bicycle. The large deck allows groups to gather (there’s a table with a large umbrella too). The tank is fed by a windmill so the water is cold and safe, but healthy algae is present in some areas on the bottom of the tank. We have a few tiny goldfish, too!

You may also walk or ride one of our bicycles up to an amphitheater site called Bluebonnet Hill, which is approximately a mile from the facilities and close to the Windmill Tank. Guests can enjoy a spectacular view of the Hill Country here as it is the highest point of the land guests have access to. We previously hosted dozens of wedding ceremonies at this site which is a sea of bluebonnets in the Spring.

LOCATION - We are located in Round Mountain, TX which is 8 miles from Marble Falls, 12 miles from Johnson City, and 45 miles from Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock. Krause Springs for natural spring swimming and Opie's BBQ is a mere 9 miles away. Inks Lake is a little under a 30 minute drive. West Cave Nature preserve is 15 minutes away. The Highland Lakes offer numerous lake activities as does Horseshoe Bay resort. There are several award winning Hill Country wineries near as well.
